Why Profile Completion Matters

🚨 Critical Requirement

You cannot apply for any internship positions without a complete profile. The system enforces this requirement to ensure quality applications and proper matching between students and opportunities.

Profile Sections Overview

1 Personal Information

  • Full name (first and last name)
  • Email address (used for login)
  • Phone number
  • Profile picture (optional but recommended)

2 Academic Information

  • Educational institute (university/college)
  • Student ID number
  • Year of study (3rd or 4th year)
  • Major/field of study
  • Current GPA
  • Expected graduation date

3 Professional Information

  • Resume upload (PDF, DOC, or DOCX)
  • Skills and competencies
  • Portfolio URL (optional)
  • Previous experience (if any)

Creating Your Profile: Step by Step

Step 1: Access Profile Creation

After account creation, you'll be prompted to complete your profile:

  • Click "Complete Profile" from the dashboard
  • Or navigate via "Profile Settings" in the user menu
  • Choose "Student" as your user type

Step 2: Institute Selection

⚠️ Email Domain Verification

For verified institutes, your email domain must match the institute's official domain.

  • Search for your educational institute
  • If not listed, contact support to add your institute
  • Ensure your email domain matches (if institute requires verification)

Step 3: Academic Details

  • Enter your student ID exactly as it appears on official documents
  • Select your current year of study (3rd or 4th year only)
  • Choose your major from the dropdown or enter manually
  • Input your current GPA (0.00 to 4.00 scale)
  • Set your expected graduation date

Step 4: Resume Upload

  • • Accepted formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX
  • • Maximum file size: 5MB
  • • File name should be professional
  • Prepare your resume in one of the accepted formats
  • Ensure it's up-to-date with current academic status
  • Include relevant coursework, projects, and any experience
  • Click "Choose File" and select your resume

Step 5: Skills and Portfolio

  • List both technical and soft skills
  • Include programming languages, software proficiency
  • Add communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Provide portfolio URL if you have one (GitHub, personal website, etc.)

Editing Your Profile

📝 When to Update

  • At the start of each semester
  • When your GPA changes significantly
  • After completing relevant coursework or projects
  • When you gain new skills or experience
  • Before applying for competitive positions

🔧 How to Edit

  1. Navigate to "Profile Settings" from the user menu
  2. Or click "Edit Profile" from your dashboard
  3. Update any section you need to change
  4. Upload a new resume if needed
  5. Click "Save Changes" to update your profile

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Changes to submitted applications won't be reflected retroactively
  • Your user role (Student) cannot be changed after selection
  • Institute changes may require re-verification
  • Keep all information accurate and up-to-date

  • Leave required fields blank
  • Use informal or unprofessional language
  • Upload outdated or irrelevant resumes
  • Exaggerate skills or experience
  • Forget to update after major changes
  • Use inappropriate email addresses

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Can't find my institute in the list

Contact support to have your institute added to the system. Provide official institute details and verification documents.

Email domain doesn't match institute

For verified institutes, you must use an email address from the institute's official domain. Contact your institute's IT department for a proper email address.

Resume upload fails

Ensure your file is in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format and under 5MB. Try renaming the file to remove special characters.

Profile shows as incomplete

All required fields must be filled. Check for any empty required fields and ensure your resume is uploaded successfully.
